Producer
Sardinia’s mixture of grapes matches its location: as well as sharing the Vermentino with Corsica, Provence and western Italy, it has also received considerable input from Spain, in the form of Cannonau (Grenache), Bovale (Graciano) and Carignano. Pala capture this diversity, offering wines of modern purity with genuine Sardinian style.
Vineyard
These grapes come from the single “Is Crabilis” vineyard, a limestonesandy hill completely covered in vines, which average thirty-five years old. The top of the hill is at 220 metres above sea level and the vineyard is situated about ten kilometres away from the winery.
Winery
After a soft pressing of the grapes, selected yeasts were added to the must which was left to ferment at 15ºC in stainless steel vats. Following fermentation, there is a light clarification, and the wine is then allowed to rest for a few months in the vats before bottling.
