Château de Terrefort-Lescalle is a twelve-hectare property situated in the commune of Macau, next to the Margaux appellation.
Vineyard
The riverside vineyards are planted on clayey soils and are cultivated sustainably.
Winery
Complete destemming of the bunches was followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats. Fermentation temperatures were kept between 28 and 30°C, pumping over was done three times daily, and there was a long maceration period. The wine was aged for six months in stainless steel tanks.
