Producer
Prunotto is renowned for producing some of Piedmont’s most refined single-vineyard wines. The long partnership with the Antinori family has supported extensive research into vineyard mapping and parcel selection, elevating the expression of each cru.
Vineyard
Bussia, in Monforte d’Alba, is one of Barolo’s most celebrated crus. It features steep slopes, well-draining calcareous marl soils and south to south-east exposures that produce powerful, structured Nebbiolo with exceptional ageing potential. The vines here are carefully managed to keep yields low and concentrate flavour.
Winery
Fermentation includes a long maceration on the skins to extract tannin and complexity. Ageing takes place in a combination of traditional large oak casks and carefully selected barrels, ensuring harmony between terroir expression, structure and elegance. The wine is released only after extensive bottle ageing.
