With summer fast approaching, we at The Artisan Food Company are geared up and preparing to celebrate – especially the all-important June 21st. Sun, BBQs, plates of party food and drinks; we can envision it all.

However, vegan party food can be a bit of a minefield. Whilst the classic frozen supermarket offerings of meat- and cheese-filled nibbles may not work here, we have complied this list of our favorite vegan party food recipes to show you how to get inventive in the kitchen.

From creamy dips to vegan renditions of the well-loved sausage roll, this guide has it all. Continue reading for delicious recipes that are sure to please all your vegan party guests.

1. Hummus

Receiving its name from the Arabic word for ‘chickpea’, this staple vegan dip is traditionally made from chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic and olive oil. Whilst there is no shortage of premade hummus at any supermarket, once you have tried making it for yourself you will question why you didn’t start earlier. It’s super quick, requires only a few ingredients and can be made in big batches.

We like to top ours with grilled mushrooms seasoned with fresh thyme, and serve it with sliced pita or crudites for an easy vegan party nibble.

Tip: if time is on your side, soak dried chickpeas overnight for a velvety-smooth hummus. Alternatively, use canned chickpeas and ensure all skins are removed before blending.

2. Garlic & Tomato Focaccia

One of our favourite breads to make at home, Italian focaccia is incredibly delicious and naturally vegan! Requiring only a few ingredients, this bread is super easy to make. It’s also very satisfying to create the dimples in the dough, giving the focaccia its signature look.

Whilst this recipe uses garlic and tomato, we like to top our bread with a variety of ingredients. Why not try adding some fresh rosemary, oregano, basil, caramelized onions or even some of our Spanish olives?

3. Korean Baked Cauliflower

Sweet, spicy and sticky; these cauliflower bites will be a showstopper in any vegan party food spread. Inspired by Korean fried chicken, only baked not fried, this vegan dish offers a healthy alternative without compromising on taste.

Bright red in colour and packing a real punch, they are sure to be a hit amongst all your guests. Garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds for a real Korean street food finish.

4. Vegan Sausage Rolls

A British party food classic, mini sausage rolls are an absolute must on any vegan party menu. These vegan alternatives are packed with mushrooms, miso and sage for a rich umami flavour.

5. Summer Rolls

Bursting with colour, these Asian-inspired rolls scream summer. Simply lay out an array of chopped vegetables and herbs such as red cabbage, grated carrot, cucumber, avocado and fresh coriander along with rice paper sheets and allow your guests to assemble their own for a fun vegan party activity.

Serve with peanut sauce for the true Vietnamese experience!
