Producer
Dating back to 1647, Château Perron is one of the oldest châteaux in the commune of Lalande-de-Pomerol. It has belonged to the Massonie family for three generations, and currently includes twenty-three hectares of vineyards.
Vineyard
Sixty-five year old vines are grown on sandy and gravelly soils over a subsoil of ironstone. Grapes are hand picked and go through two stages of selection.
Winery
After a pre-ferment maceration, the fermentation took place in temperature-controlled cement tanks, with around forty-five days on skins. Following the malolactic, the wine was aged for twelve months in oak barrels, with twenty percent new wood.
