Producer
Château Haut-Maginet is a family estate based in Soussac, in the Entre-Deux-Mers region. The Jolivet family began with twenty-seven hectares in 1981, and through acquiring neighbouring vineyards have built the estate up to its present 103 hectares.
Vineyard
The vines average twenty years old, and are planted on both plateaux and south-facing slopes of clay-limestone soil. The emphasis is on environmentally-friendly viticulture, with grass cover every other row, sustainable pest-control, and organic fertilizers in use. Individual plots are monitored twice a week to check the ripeness of the grapes.
Winery
The wine was vinified in stainless steel and concrete tanks, and bottled unoaked to emphasise the fruit.
