Producer
Château du Trignon is a long-established Rhône estate with roots in the early 20th century. Known for traditional methods and high-quality vineyard holdings across Gigondas, Vacqueyras and other appellations, the estate is now owned by the Quiot family, who have further invested in vineyard expression and modern precision.
Vineyard
Gigondas vineyards sit on the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail, where limestone scree, red clay and stony terraces create ideal conditions for Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. High altitude and cooler night temperatures contribute to the wine’s power paired with freshness. Old vines and low yields intensify concentration and structure.
Winery
Grapes are hand-picked and fermented traditionally with extended maceration for depth. Ageing takes place in large foudres and older barrels to soften tannins while preserving fruit purity. The approach allows terroir to remain at the forefront, producing a Gigondas with impressive complexity and ageing potential.
