Producer
Château Pédesclaux, a Fifth Growth of Pauillac (1855 Classification), has undergone significant revitalisation under the Lorenzetti family. Focused on precision viticulture and state-of-the-art cellar practices, the estate has redefined its style, producing wines with greater purity, finesse and structure. Fleur de Pédesclaux, the second wine, reflects this modern evolution while offering earlier drinkability.
Vineyard
The estate owns prime parcels in Pauillac on deep gravel soils with clay and limestone sublayers, ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Extensive replanting, drainage improvements and plot-by-plot mapping have produced significant quality gains. The vineyards benefit from maritime influence from the Gironde estuary, which moderates temperatures and protects vines from frost.
Winery
Hand-harvested grapes undergo rigorous sorting before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete vats. Fleur de Pédesclaux is aged in French oak, often using a smaller proportion of new barrels than the Grand Vin. This approach preserves fruit vibrancy while adding gentle structure. The resulting wine is expressive, balanced and beautifully representative of modern Pauillac.
