The base:
Smoothie bowls are incredibly easy to make. A few simple ingredients thrown together in a blender is all it takes, and makes a great breakfast for those precious warm days in the UK.
The trick to getting that perfectly thick and smooth consistency is to use frozen bananas.
Simply add frozen bananas and a mix of frozen fruit to a blender and mix at a low speed. Add milk of your choice – coconut milk makes a delicious addition – and blend again. Scrape down the sides of the blender and blend until you have a thick, smooth consistency!
A few of our favourite smoothie bowl flavour combinations include:
- Banana, raspberries, strawberries, almond butter & oat milk
- Banana, mango, lime juice, coconut milk
- Banana, cacao powder, oat milk
- Banana, papaya, passion fruit, mango and coconut milk

Toppings:
Now, for the best part: the toppings. Top your smoothie bowl with whatever your heart desires. From extra fruit, granola, coconut shavings, nuts, seeds, nut butters and chocolate chunks, the world really is your oyster.
We love to mix our toppings up each time, but a few favourites are sliced strawberries, kiwi, almond butter and a chunky granola.
Simply arrange your toppings on top of your smoothie bowl, grab a spoon and dig in!
