Whispering Angel is produced by Caves d’Esclans, the estate that transformed rosé into a global luxury category. Combining modern technology with strict fruit selection, the winery creates exceptionally clean, precise rosés that showcase Provence’s natural elegance. Whispering Angel remains the estate’s flagship, representing quality, consistency and approachability.
Vineyard
Fruit is sourced from vineyards around La Motte, typically composed of Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle. Limestone and clay soils, combined with cooling effects from the Mistral, create ideal conditions for producing pale, aromatic rosé. Grapes are maintained at optimal ripeness through careful canopy management and harvesting at night to preserve delicate aromatics.
Winery
After night harvesting, grapes undergo gentle pressing, with only the finest free-run juice selected. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel at low temperatures, ensuring a fresh, crisp profile. Extensive temperature control and inert-gas handling protect aromatic purity. The result is a dry, polished rosé recognised worldwide for its elegance.
