Producer
Masseria Maìme is one of the two major estates belonging to Tormaresca. Located in the heart of Salento, it is considered one of the most beautiful and innovative wineries in southern Italy. The estate has been instrumental in bringing international attention to the potential of Salento’s native varieties and coastal terroir.
Vineyard
The estate stretches over 250 hectares near the Adriatic coast. Vines are planted among olive groves and woodlands on sandy, limestone-influenced soils. The maritime climate ensures hot days balanced by cooling sea breezes, enabling grapes to ripen fully while retaining aromatic lift. Indigenous varieties such as Negroamaro and Primitivo thrive here, producing wines with both richness and freshness.
Winery
Grapes undergo careful selection before fermentation in stainless steel. Ageing takes place in a mix of French and American oak to build complexity and smoothness. The winemaking emphasises elegance over sheer power, resulting in a wine with layered fruit and polished structure.
