Producer
Mezzacorona is a driving force behind the quality of Trentino wines with a state-of-the-art winery handling estate-grown fruit from the company’s extensive vineyard holdings in the heart of the Dolomites.
Vineyard
The grapes for this wine come from ten to fifteen year-old pergola-trained vineyards in the Dolomites, at altitudes of 400-800 metres. The grapes were harvested by hand in early September.
Winery
After destemming the grapes are gently pressed and the must is left to clarify naturally. Temperature-controlled fermentation took place over ten to eleven days, followed by four to six months maturation on the lees. The second fermentation takes place in autoclave over fifteen days followed by a further maturation on the lees in the autoclave for three to five months.
