Producer
Château Minuty is one of Provence’s most iconic rosé estates, family-run since 1936 and part of the exclusive “Cru Classé” group of 1955. Today, the Matton-Farnet family leads the estate with a focus on low yields, meticulous vineyard management and precision winemaking. Their wines—from M to the flagship 281—are benchmarks of elegance, purity and the Côte de Provence style.
Vineyard
Minuty 281 is made exclusively from the estate’s oldest Grenache parcels, some over 80 years old, planted on south-facing slopes overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The soils are predominantly schist and mica-schist, imparting electric minerality and natural salinity. Strict yield control, hand-harvesting and careful parcel selection ensure only the purest fruit enters the final blend.
Winery
Grapes are harvested at night to preserve aromatic vibrancy, then gently pressed using state-of-the-art pneumatic systems. Only the finest free-run juice is used. Fermentation takes place at cool temperatures in stainless steel, followed by short ageing on fine lees for texture. The hallmark “281” name refers to the Pantone blue colour adorning the bottle—a tribute to Provence’s Mediterranean coastline and the purity of the wine inside.
