Plantin is based in France in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, have been harvesting and selling truffles for nearly 100 years. They began production of more inventive products in 1986. The famous black truffle which is used in many products is sourced from the Drôme and Vaucluse areas of France, as well as the famous white truffle from Alba Italy. Plantin truffles are used throughout the world by famous chefs.
Black truffle shavings come from whole black truffles. They are slivers or small strips taken from shaved and chopped truffles.
Black truffle shavings add a firm, flavoursome touch to your dishes. We recommend keeping the juice in the jar, which you can then use in other recipes.
