Producer

The return to form of this Cru Bourgeois, first planted in the eighteenth century, is the result of the hard work of owner Philippe Raoux. Having purchased the estate in 1986, he brought it back from a state of complete disrepair and extremely unusually secured the admission of 54 of the estate’s 112 hectares of vineyards into the Margaux AOC in 1995. Since then quality has been on an upward trajectory, and the estate has consistently over-performed.

Vineyard

The wine comes from the property’s fifty-four hectares of vineyards within the Margaux AOC, planted on sandy gravel soils.

Winery

Traditional vinification is carried out in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and lasts between two and four weeks. Following this the wine was aged in barrel for 12 months.
